1. The game was against the Rays, giving us a chance to get closer to them in the division race.
2. It was consecutive sellout #456 at Fenway, which passes the record for the most ever in the MLB.
3. BAMF Jon Lester was the probable starting pitcher.
I thought it would be fucking amazing, and it was.
I got to Fenway and waited with the other Greenteamers for instructions. Johnny Pesky, Tim Wakefield, Alex Cora, and Kevin Youkilis brushed past me while I was waiting (!). We got dinner, got to go around Fenway, then I was assigned to pick up recyclables in the Green Monster (!!) because I was one of the only upperclassmen (may this be a lesson to you all to check student government emails...). It was awesome, we couldn't pick up recyclables during play (because it was annoying) so we HAD TO WATCH THE GAME. For free. In the Green Monster. At the bottom of the 7th inning, we were relieved of our duties and allowed to sit wherever we wanted, so I sat myself in the Monster and enjoyed the win (3-0). And now we're only a half game behind the Rays Fuck yeah.
This is what I felt like afterwards:

I think a relative of the Green Monster is clogging up my sink.
Or it might be a banana peel like in my sink.
