COLE HAMELS
Team: Philadelphia Phillies
Date of Birth: December 27, 1983 (age 25)
This year's salary: $4,350,000
Last year's stats: 14-10 with a 3.09ERA, 196 strikeouts
This year's stats: 0-2 with a 9.69ERA, 11 strikeouts
Why he's awesome: The Phillies won the World Series last year and he was the MVP of the series. Plus he's smokin' hot.

Team: Tampa Bay Rays
Date of Birth: January 24, 1984 (age 25)
This year's salary: $6,000,000
Last year's stats: 12-8 with a 3.49ERA, 166 strikeouts
This year's stats: 3-1 with a 3.97ERA, 17 strikeouts
Why he's awesome: Besides that picture? Well he's the ace on a very promising Tampa Bay Ray rotation, although they're in last place in the East right now.

JON LESTER
Team: Boston Red Sox
Date of Birth: January 7, 1984 (age 25)
This year's salary: $1,000,000 (thought he was making more, like $5mil a year)
Last year's stats: 16-6 with a 3.21ERA, 152 strikeouts
This year's stats: 1-2 with a 4.88ERA, 26 strikeouts
Why he's awesome: Uhm, where do I start? He beat cancer, got the win for the clinching game in the 2007 World Series, threw a no-hitter on May 19, 2008...
I'd still choose Jon Lester to be on my team. He is my favorite player on the Sox. All three have very comparable stats and we'll see who is the best of the 3 this season.

So today I went to the Red Sox/Yankees game. Coming in, the two teams had played two 4 1/2 hr games, both very bizarre but both ending in Red Sox wins. I was assigned to the Cumberland Farms deck. We got there and there wasn't anyone sitting there, which was weird. Then the entire BU hockey team shows up in those stupid uniforms. The worst/best part? Only about 5 of them were there at a time.
Why this was good: I don't want to look at them that much. Also I had an excellent view without anyone in front of me. Since it was BU's "private section" they didn't let anyone else in. YESSSS.
Why this was bad: I don't even want to know how much those seats cost and they were frolicking about Fenway, wasting their opportunity to watch an amazing game. Pshhhh... losers.
Oh yeah, and during the game, JACOBY ELLSBURY STOLE HOME. Like...what? Fenway went absolutely nutso. If you get the chance, definitely find a video of that. It's fantastic. And against the Yankees, it's supersweet. Plus the Red Sox won 4-1. It was a good day at Fenway.
